Mr. Darryl Eales serves as Chairman at E2Exchange. He also serves as a partner at Debrett's Private Finance. He served as Executive Chairman at Oxford United. Mr. Eales served as Advisory Chairman at LDC. In May 2014, Darryl became Advisory Chairman of LDC after 11 years as Chief Executive. Darryl joined LDC in 1987 and formerly ran the Birmingham office and then the Midlands and North region before becoming Chief Executive in 2003. During his 11 year tenure as Chief Executive, LDC expanded significantly in terms of both investment scale and profitability. Over this period, the business invested £2.6bn in c166 companies and delivered post-tax profits of £1.2bn whilst also building a portfolio of around 80 companies which are expected to deliver a further £1.5bn of profit over the next four to five years. Darryl is currently a Non-Executive Director for six of LDC's portfolio companies. He also has a portfolio of private interests and is a Guardian of The Birmingham Assay Office. He has a variety of wider business interests especially promoting entrepreneurship and a more business-friendly environment. He also serves as the Chairman at E2E. Darryl is the owner of a number of businesses currently including Debrett's, Oxford United Football Club, and a specialist engineering group, Alycidon Capital together with serving as a nonexecutive on several Boards which support entrepreneurialism, education, and community development. He is Birmingham-born and the son of parents who were grocers through his formative years. He was privileged to receive an excellent state education and went on to attend Exeter University, the first in his family to do so, and qualify as a Chartered Accountant. In 1987, he followed his passion for supporting business and joined LDC, a private equity investor. He joined the Board in 1995 and became Chief Executive in 2003. During his 11 year tenure as Chief Executive, LDC grew to become the UK leader in mid-market private equity. Over this period, the business invested £2.6bn in c166 companies and delivered post-tax profits of £1.2bn whilst also building a portfolio of around 80 companies which should realize in excess of £4bn in value. Mr. Eales serves as Non-Executive Director at Alycidon Capital.
