With a career spanning more than 25 years, Bruce Menin is a recognized leader in the design and development of cutting-edge residential communities and boutique hotels in premier locations nationwide, including New York City, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, San Diego, and Honolulu. At the helm of Crescent Heights® since 1989, he has led the marketing and creative strategy for more than 100 residential and hotel properties and pioneered the renaissance of urban neighborhoods and coastal cities across the United States, including South Beach in Miami, Midtown in Atlanta, the Arts District in Philadelphia, the Financial District in New York City, and SoMA and Mid-Market in San Francisco. Under Menin's leadership, Crescent Heights® has redefined its commitment to designing high-quality communities that become vibrant fixtures in their respective location, culture and lifestyle, by focusing on a wide range of benefits including sustainability, access to public transportation, public art, affordable housing, iconic architecture, neighborhood retail, job creation and the preservation of landmark buildings. Strategic community development has also been of central importance, as Menin coordinates closely with civic leaders, the business community and residents from pre-development to the land entitlement process through construction. His keen ability to foresee game-changing events in the economic landscape and preemptively act on thehas been critical - perhaps most clearly made evident in 2005 when Menin guided Crescent Heights® out of the condominium business prior to the sales market collapse. The only large-scale national developer to do so, this revolutionary approach allowed the company to successfully pursue new acquisition opportunities and launch its present-day business model centered on the development of next-generation luxury residential rental communities in America's most desirable urban destinations. His innovation and astute direction has enabled Crescent Heights® to enjoy a long-term track record of success, as Menin has proven a unique ability to identify emerging markets and trends, recognize the significance of shifts in urban lifestyles and demographics, and respond with groundbreaking ideas, trendsetting technology and award-winning residential design. As a result, Crescent Heights® was recognized with the prestigious "Multifamily Development Firm of the Year" award by the National Association of Home Builders while recently built properties continue to receive honors and accolades across the globe. An active member of the community, Menin is involved in a variety of philanthropic endeavors. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at The Dalton School in New York City, and past Chair and Board Member Emeritus of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum in New York City. Menin also serves on the National Advisory Council for the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford University. His "Galbut - Menin Family Scholarship Fund" at Cornell University provides scholarships to children who have lost one or both parents, and he also founded and funded the "Barry and Miriam Menin Day Care Facility" in Israel. Menin graduated cum laude from Harvard University where he received a Bachelor's degree in Government; holds a Master's degree in Economics (with Honors) from the University of Sydney in Australia, which he attended as a Rotary Foundation Scholar; and received a law degree from Northwestern University, where he was Editor of the Law Review.
