Mr. Wang Jianlin is the Founder & serves as Chairman at Dalian Wanda Group. He is also a Co-Founder of Prometheus Capital. He served in the Army between 1970 and 1986, at which time he was appointed Office Director of the Xigang District Government in Dalian. He has served as Chairman of the Dalian Wanda Group since 1989. He has previously served as a deputy to the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He was also a member of the 11th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Standing Committee and has also served as a Vice Chair of the 11th Congress of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the China Charity Confederation; Vice Chair of the China Folk Chamber of Commerce; Vice Chair of the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association as well as Vice Chair of the China General Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Jianlin has been honored with several awards for outstanding achievements in business management and corporate social responsibility. He has twice been recognized as CCTV's Chinese Economic Person of the Year, both in 2008 and 2012. He has also received three China Charity Awards from the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2005, 2008 and 2013. In 2013, he was awarded the title of Honorary President of the China Charity Federation. He was awarded Outstanding Individual for Poverty Alleviation by the State Council in 2014. He was recognized as Asia's richest man by Bloomberg in April 2015, and mainland China's wealthiest individual by Forbes in 2015. In 2015, he begins to serve as the Vice Chair of the Global Advisory Council of Harvard University. He is also an Angel Investor.
