Mr. Bradford Farkas is a Co-Founder and serves as General Partner at HBSE Ventures. Prior to HBSEv, he was General Partner and co-founder of i-Hatch Ventures with Mr. Chip Austin. Prior to i-Hatch, he was a founding Partner of Lazard Technology Partners (LTP), the venture capital group of Lazard Frères & Co. LLC, where he led investments in internet and data communications technologies. Prior to Lazard, he was the Acting CFO and Director of Compatible Systems, a developer of IP routers and virtual private networking ("VPN") equipment. He raised three rounds of venture financing for Compatible, and introduced the company to Cisco who acquired it for $250M. Before Compatible, he was the Founder of Argosy Technology, a communications software company. While at Argosy, he developed software packages that were published by Symantec, Novell, and Citrix as well as consulted on technology and strategy consulting for AT&T and Booz Allen, & Hamilton, and the Networking Group at Microsoft. Shortly before graduate school, he served as a Director and Principal of pcANYWHERE, inc., a developer of remote access software and participated in its acquisition by Symantec. He was also a prolific engineer, developing all of pcANYWHERE's non-Intel based software. Prior to his work with pcANYWHERE, he was the founder of Metropolitan Asset Technology, a technology consulting firm in the financial services industry, and co-founder of Phonetix, a computer peripherals manufacturer. He has also worked at First Boston in Corporate Finance, Venture Capital and Equity Research departments. He has a BA degree from Harvard College with a concentration in Applied Math and Computer Science, and an MBA from Harvard Business School with a concentration in Applied Finance
