Dr. Emandi Rao is an Angel Investor at Emandi Sankara Rao. Dr. Rao also serves as Board Member at Delhi International Airport. He serves as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director at IFCI. Review Committee on Wilful Defaulters and Fraud Reporting Committee, Review Committee on Non-Cooperative Borrowers and Recovery & NPA Management Committee, Executive Committee, Member of E-Governance Committee, Stakeholders' Relationship Committee at IFCI. He serves as Chairman at Stock Holding Corporation of India. He has more than 25 years of experience with leading institutions in the infrastructure and banking & finance sectors and also served as the Founder Director & CEO of IIFCL Projects Limited. He is an alumnus of IIT Bombay (Ph.D.) and IIT Kharagpur (M. Tech) and has also done PGDBA from Pondicherry Central University. Previously, he had served in IDFC Group as Director & Business Head and in IDBI as DGM and has extensive experience in Project & Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Investment Banking, and Infrastructure Development. He has also been instrumental in raising long-term funds for IIFCL from both domestic and foreign sources and developed financial products like Credit Enhancement-cum-Takeout and Acquisition Finance at IDFC. He was also a member in the Sub-Group on Infrastructure (under RBI and erstwhile Planning Commission Working Group on Savings Formulation) of the 12th Five Year Plan, member of Sub-Group on Financing Urban Infrastructure in the 12th Five Year Plan, and a member in the Ministry of Finance - DFS Committee on Debt Market Development and contributed papers in various National and International Conferences & Workshops.
